I’m not entirely sure how long this obsession has lasted, but I imagine it started before I could form sentences. It is notable enough that my husband has enforced a limit of just one (1) flower-shaped lamp per room. The joke is firmly on him though, because that is less of a limit and more of a goal.
Most recently I have been obsessed with these flower-shaped candle-holders. But there have been many previous obsessions, such as the 1984 Mike Bliss floor lamps (that some lucky person once just found on the street for free and made me eternally jealous), Loewe’s rose-heeled shoe, and the 2004 Helena Christensen x Habitat flower lamp which is now inexplicably extremely expensive on eBay but I bought for £15 on Facebook Marketplace.
I’m no designer but I think being flower-shaped should be extended to more things than simple light vessels and shoes. I’ve created a list of other potential flower-shaped-things, so Anthropologie – if you’re listening – let’s do a collab.
As said, if you’re Anthropologie – reach out. If you’re Temu, please wait until after my Anthropologie collab to make these. Thank you ♥️.
cackling at TEMU PLEASE WAIT
