Thank You
For a very (re)productive, non-productive year.
Happy New Year!
I wanted to send you all a quick note to say thank you for sticking around.
I became a mother in July, and naturally, like all first time mothers, deeply overestimated my capacity to Have It All – a baby is all-consuming (literally, if you’re breastfeeding!), and I’ve not kept up with by newsletters at all!
But many of you have stuck around and I deeply appreciate that.
In the new year, my main goal is to keep my little family of three happy and healthy, but then a close second is to provide you all with my silly little drawings on a regular basis again. :)
And I hope that you all have a bountiful and beautiful 2026, with plenty of extra cash to sink into Substack subscriptions 💕

You are doing great, Natalya! Raising a tiny person is physically very challenging for the first few years. Then it gets easier from a physical perspective, but harder psychologically, as their needs and feelings get more complex. I have had a family of three for almost 10 years now. We stuck with one kiddo so that the adults would always outnumber the kiddo. It makes it a tiny bit easier... But only a little bit. It still takes a lot of time, thoughtfulness and dedication.
It’s crazy hard having a mini human to look after so don’t feel guilty or obligated ❤️mine is 26 months and you get bits of more time as they get older, a patchwork of sorts to be you and make your work xxx
